Benefit Blogger Event - Contouring Masterclass

I’ve always wanted to be involved in blog events so when I heard that Benefit Cosmetics were hosting a Contouring master class in Bristol, I jumped at the chance. I found out about this on Twitter, it’s always good to join in with the Twitter chats as lots of opportunities flag up! The reason why I don’t go to many blog events is because I seem to live too far away from everything.

When we arrived we were greeted by Kirsty who is the manger of the Benefit counter in Debenhams, Bristol. She is so lovely and really approachable! She made us feel even more at home by providing fizzy drinks and sweets (everyone loves sweeties).

Kirsty demonstrated on Brooke who is 16 (I was surprised as she looks a lot older). Using the Boi-ing concealers, in a lighter shade for highlighting and a darker shade for contouring, Kirsty showed us which parts of the face needed light and the parts of the face that needed shadow. Then she blended everything using little white sponges which I need to purchase! To set the contour they used their holy grail Hoola Bronzer. I love this bronzer and I feel like it compliments my skin tone really well.

After that both girls came around and gave us “tips” on our own face shape and tone. Brooke then did a contour on me using the Hoola bronzer as I didn’t want a extreme contour look. She talked me through how to do it myself and then used the Rockatuer blush which I am DYING to buy. Brooke then used the Sunbeam highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, down my nose and on my brow bone. I loved the outcome of the contouring class and I met lots of new bloggers too!
