St Tropez In Shower Tan Review

St Tropez In Shower Tan - £9.50

I have never been a fake tan person. I used a fake tan years ago and I came out looking like I had been tangoed so I gave up on that idea. Another reason why I don’t fake tan is because I am too lazy and I don’t like the way it feels on the skin. However, when I heard about the St Tropez In-Shower Tan I thought it was a brilliant idea. A tan that you put on in the shower, wait 3 minutes and then wash off. What’s so bad about that?

I’ve heard people complaining saying that it’s only a gradual tan, which is true but it clearly says on the bottle “gradual tan” so I wouldn’t buy it if you’re expecting to look like you’ve been to the Caribbean or something. I am quite a pale person so I hoped it would work well on my skin.

The pros –

  • Streak free

  • If you put it on overnight, you’ll see the difference in the morning

  • A creamy formula which washes off easy

  • 3 minutes isn’t really that long to wait for a non-sticky tan

The cons –

  • Waiting 3 minutes in the shower in the winter could be tricky and cold!

  • I apply this all over my body 3 times a week so I can see it’s not going to last long and £15 is a lot of money to keep forking out.

I think this product is brilliant if you’re pale and are just looking for a little bit of a glow. It’s quick and easy. Also, if you’re a newbie to tanning like me it would be perfect! I did use it on my face but found it didn’t work too well so I may have to invest in another one for my face.

Have you tried the in shower tan? What are your thoughts?

I’m really intrigued to use this, I’ve heard loads of different things about it. Sounds like you could end up using a bottle a week though! xo

Yes! You definitely could, that’s the downside. X

I’ve never tried fake tan but this doesn’t sound too scary - I could definitely get on board with that!

I’ve been wanting to try this but it’s always sold out at my Sephora! I am super pale and always am in need of some color. I’m definitely going to try it now.

I’m super pale as well and applying a tanner in the shower actually sounds a lot easier than the spray or rubbing and then dealing with the residue. I hate that. But this sounds awesome! Gonna have to try some

  • Sandy D.

Wow, I have never seen an in-shower self tanner. Seems odd, but maybe worth a try! 😉

  • Claudette

Thank heavens I’ve never had to do any of this! Great tip though for those who do!

  • Shann Eva

I like the idea of putting it on in the shower, but it seems expensive.

  • Jeanine @ sixtimemommy.com

Oh this sounds neat. I’ve never used an in shower tanning lotion how neat. I agree with below it does seem a wee bit pricey!

Interesting…not an issue for me…but great information.

I love the conception of this tan, just wish they did a darker version!

The idea of this is great! I’ve tried a lot of tanners in the past and always have two problems… either they’re too orangey or I end up allergic! I bet a 3 minute shower version would be ok though. Worth a shot!

This isn’t an issue for me. However my wife might love this!

  • Marilu Duque

Love this new method of a tan!

I’m the worst with getting streaks using self-tanner, so I’m so glad this is streak-free!

  • Dogvills

This sounds like a great product. I have never used something like this, but I think this one is worth trying.

  • Elizabeth O.

This sounds interesting, though I never really wanted to tan my skin. I will pass this on to my friends.

  • mail4rosey

I’m glad it’s streak free. I’m pale too so I wouldn’t mind trying it.

  • Mlle Coconath

Great review! I might try this!
