URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI PALETTE

For Christmas I was kindly gifted a £30 Debenhams voucher. I’ve always wanted an Urban Decay palette, even the Naked 1, 2 and 3 palette’s are gorgeous but for some reason this limited edition Gwen Stefani palette just took my eye.

Opening the palette, I was met with a gorgeous array of nudes, golds and taupes in a variety of mattes and shimmers with only two slightly more colourful options and I instantly fell in love.

Gwen worked with Urban Decay to create the palette full of all the shades she always wished she had in her makeup collection. Twelve of the shades are brand new to UD and three are already in the eyeshadow collection. These are the perfect shadows to perfect some serious smokey, neutral eyes to pair with a festive red lip for this time of year and I cannot wait.

Yes, the shadows are highly pigmented, easy to blend and last all day long, but they’re also messy, even when you’re really careful about tapping off the excess from your brush

    Hello, I haven’t seen this palette in real life yet but the colors looks nice on the picture I love especially the one in the right-up corner, can you do a makeup look with this palette? It’s a shame that it’s messy tho.. I don’t know if it’s the photo or 4 shades looks almost the same 😛

    This palette is apparently good for warm skin tones, but the pink and blue shades makes it perfect for the cool ones also! Like it!

    This is really gorgeous. I am not a big fan of super pigmented, intense colors because I’m pale and tend to look more like a clown than anything else, but the ability to blend the colorful eye shadow with the more muted colors would make this palette a good option. Thanks for sharing!

My female friends have gone absolutely nuts over the Urban Decay palettes, and as someone who has taken a makeup class I can see why, they look really nice and I could see how you could use the colors with just about any look you are going for.

    I feel like the only person in the world who hasn’t got it! Definitely a good choice, I have the naked 1 and 2 and don’t get me wrong they amazing shadows but this palette is just fab.     I never tried this palette, but I have the Naked 2 and 3 and I also agree they’re somewhat messy…but they blend easily, it’s just a question of doing your eye makeup first, clean up the excess on your skin and then put on the foundation. That way you don’t spend hours putting on foundation, only to get it ruined =)

    I do find the shades in this palette beautiful!
