MY MAKEUP STORAGE

I strongly believe that this is the answer to every beauty obsessives storage problems. The IKEA Alex Drawers is in pretty much every single beauty bloggers bedroom for their makeup storage. With 5 smaller draws and 4 deeper draws at the bottom, you have lots of options when it comes to arranging your stash.


It has 9 drawers altogether and I picked out my favourite 3 to feature on my blog today. The top draw is where I keep all of my lip products such as my lipsticks, lip liners and lip balms. The furthest right in the MUJI storage, I keep all of my matte lipsticks. This is so they are easy to find and are probably the ones I wear the most. Behind that is another MUJI pot with all of my lip balms in and at the front is a tub with all of my Rimmel lipsticks in.

The second draw down is my face products, these include, foundation, blusher and bronzer. My powder is in a separate draw as I couldn’t fit them in this one. Again, I have a MUJI storage pot with all of my blushers in, I thought laying them out like this means I would find it easier to find the one I want. It also looks a lot neater. I have my trusty MAC Studio Fix Fluid in various shades for various times of the year and a few other high end foundations such as NARS Sheer Glow and Chanel.

The last draw I’m showing you is my eye makeup draw. This has actually changed since I last took this photo as I have added in my In The Balm Of Your Hands palette and my Gwen Stefani Urban Decay palette. This draw has palettes, beauty blenders, MAC eye shadows in my MUJI pot, mascaras, eyeliner and my Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser which is unreal.

  • This is such an organised collection! I love it! One day I want to get some Alex drawers as they really are perfect for makeup storage. I use one single very very big drawer at the moment which is quite nice as I can see it all laid out in front of me.

    I cleared out a lot of my old makeup that I’ve grown out of or was just too old to keep anymore, so I feel a lot more organised and prepared to build my collection with new makeup that I really love! I store my makeup in one of my drawers in a chest of drawers from IKEA, theres so much room in there for everything it’s great 🙂 xo

    I don’t have nearly as much make up as you yet my collection is 100X more cluttered than yours. I just throw everything in the draw and half the products don’t even get used because I can’t reach them. I NEED to organise my make up ASAP!

  • I have the alex drawers at home and they’re sooo handy! I initially bought just the tall set but when I moved rooms I made my own vanity desk out of two of the smaller, 6 drawer ones too! I love having everything hidden away in drawers!xx
