THE MATTE FOUNDATION YOU NEED

I’m one of those people who wears one foundation to work and then a high end foundation at weekends or when I’m going out. I’ve always struggled finding a drugstore foundation that I love. I’ve tried Bourjois Healthy Mix which every blogger loves. I’ve tried Rimmel’s Match Perfection and I’ve tried L’Oreal’s True Match Foundation. None of which I got along with until I got my hands on this…

L’Oreal’s Infalible Matte Foundation is 100% the best dupe of my trusty MAC Studio Fix Fluid. I love a matte finish on my face and lips (as you all know) so when I went into Boots, I picked up this foundation, the Infalible Primer and the Infalible Fixing Mist. The one downside about this foundation is, there’s not a huge shade range.

I apply my primer and then use my beauty blender to apply and it gives such a flawless finish and lasts ALL DAY. My issue with drugstore foundations is that I find myself powdering throughout the day but with this, I don’t need to. I don’t powder this foundation as it’s matte and I just finish by bronzing using my L’Oreal Glam Bronze and highlighting using my favourite Mary-Lou Manizer! For £7.99 this is my go-to foundation throughout my working week.

    So I tried this foundation since eeeeeeveryone swears by it and I can’t seem to get on board with it 100%. I love how it feels up until like 8-10 hours on my skin and then I have to get it off my skin stat… Do you use a specific primer under your skin for it? xo

    I am exactly the same when it comes to wearing the ‘special’ foundations at the weekend, and the drugstore version during the week! I am yet to try this one though! I love my Rimmel London wake me up foundation. The first drugstore foundation I have used that I can blend into my skin easily!

    I’m exactly the same, don’t want to waste my high end foundations on work! Haha! I love this foundation and the primer. I haven’t tried the fixing mist though, would you say it’s worth it?

    I used this foundation most days for about the last 6 to 7 months now, and I really do like it. At first I wasn’t so keen on it but over time I have started to like it more, since I took more time to apply it.

    I tried this foundation and it just didn’t work for me :( i found it didn’t keep me matte no matter what primer or powder i used. I do love the L’Oreal Infallible Primer though!

    I’ve worn this foundation a few times and if I wear a primer it looks pretty nice on my skin, if I don’t it looks terrible, it just sits in my pores! So I may have to pick up the matching primer

    I’m constantly hearing amazing things about this foundation, and since I have the matching primer I don’t see why I shouldn’t get this! I’m currently using a mixture of urban decay’s beauty balm, cause I’m a huge fan of tinted moisturisers, and L’oreal’s true match. But i must try this! Great post Jenna x
