I’ve been wanting to give you an insight into my bathroom shelf for a long time. I just haven’t got round to doing it, until now. My skincare has been all over the place for around 6 months but I feel I’m finally in a place to recommend the skincare I use on a daily basis, hence why they’re to hand in my bathroom.
Without fail, every single day I wash my face first thing in the morning. I don’t understand people who don’t do this. I could never put makeup on in the morning without cleansing my face first and essentially washing off my night oils / creams. For the morning skin routine, I use my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish*. I’m currently using the Sweet Orange and Clove limited edition of this. I love it because its quite a thick balm and so gentle on my skin, almost feeling moisturised after.
Whether or not I have makeup on, i will also always wash my face in the evening. This varies depending on how my skin is that day. If I’m wearing makeup I will use the Kiehls Ultra Facial Cleanser*. This dissolves my makeup in one use, including eye makeup and its a balm texture. I gently massage this into my face and then wash it off. I will then go in with my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Balm. This lightweight balm melts into a silky cleansing oil as you massage over your skin, then transforms with water into a milky emulsion that rinses easily for a clean, conditioned feel. I use this as a second cleanse just to ensure I’ve got everything off my face.
Then comes toner, I currently switch this up every day. I’m currently really liking the new L’Oreal Fine Flowers Toner it invigorates the skin and eliminates the last traces of impurities, for a perfectly cleansed complexion. If Im not using that, Ill use my Pixi Glow Tonic. As this is branded as an exfoliator, I tend to only use this two to three times a week. It exfoliates and purifies the skin and accelerates cell renewal to reveal a brighter, glowing complexion.
More recently I have been loving the L’Oreal Overnight Elixir. This is a gradual tan for the face and body, personally I love using it on my face and using other tans on my body. I apply this whenever needed before bed, is fast absorbing, hydrating and doesn’t transfer. I just wash it off in the morning and am left with a tan that could last up to two weeks.
Finally, if I’m looking for a deeper exfoliator, the Deep Cleansing Exfoliator* by Caudalie purifies the skin and refines its texture without ever drying it out, for clear, radiant skin.
