MAKEUP REVOLUTION HAUL & GIVEAWAY
Makeup Revolution has recently become one of my favourite brands. It burst into the blogosphere last year and has become a firm beauty favourite within the beauty blogging community, known for its fabulous, high-quality products at seriously affordable prices. So affordable that their lipsticks cost just £1. Yes, you read correctly - one pound for a lipstick. If that’s not affordable I don’t know what is.
I picked up 4 items from my local Superdrug; one scandalous lipstick, one velvet lacquer and 2 blushing hearts triple baked blushers.
Crime is a gorgeous, bright, vibrant lipstick that has amazing pigmentation. I wasn’t expecting great things for £1 but I have been super impressed with this. With its bold colour, it’s quite moisturising and doesn’t dry my lips out. I can’t wait to pick up more of these!
Next up we have Keep Lying For You. This is described as a lipgloss but dries matte. I love matte lips and the pigmentation in this is phenomenal. A little more expensive at £3 but worth every penny. I personally like to use a brush to apply this but I’ve been getting lots of compliments and it’s a perfect colour for autumn/winter.
Then I picked up the Triple Baked Blush in the shade Queen Of Hearts (the more pinky shade). Firstly, I would just like to point out how beautiful the packaging is, very much like the Too Faced Sweetheart Blush but a quarter of the price. It delivers a light flush of colour to the cheeks, a little goes a long way. It is made up of 3 different shades of blush
Finally, I decided to pick up another Triple Baked Blush in the shade Peachy Pink Kiss. I think this has to be my favourite purchase out of the lot. If you aren’t a shimmery person then this probably isn’t for you. The darkest shade is a pretty coral shade and it reminds me of NARS Orgasm blusher. I normally just use my brush and swirl all over the colours.
Now for the fun part… would you like to WIN your own Triple Baked Blush in the shade Peachy Pink Kiss? All you have to do is fill out the survey below and a winner will be chosen at random in 2 weeks time.

DEBENHAMS FLOWERS + DISCOUNT CODE
I love flowers (almost as much as candles) and after Appleyard London contacted me a few months ago to review their flowers I only hoped another company would do the same. When an email from Debenhams came into my inbox asking if I would like to review their flowers, I jumped at the chance! Flowers always make me feel so happy and positive.
I decided to go for the Pink Lily & Rose bouquet which consists of beautiful lilies and pink roses. It was so lovely to receive on a Sunday morning (yes they deliver on Sundays!). Everyone needs a treat sometimes and this is a perfect present for yourself or someone else.
If you fancy treating yourself to a bouquet of flowers, I have a special 25% discount code for you to use! The code that you need to enter at the checkout is DFBLOG25. The only flowers that aren’t included in this are the flowers by post range.

*Debenhams kindly sent me the Pink Lily & Rose bouquet to review. The discount code is a gift from Debenhams to my blog readers. All thoughts, opinions and photography are my own.
HOLIDAY BEAUTY BAG
One thing that I have to be very selective of when going on a sunny, bikini-clad holiday, is deciding which beauty items I will be taking with me. I don’t know about you, but personally, 90% of my holiday just consists of bare, makeup-free skin (with SPF of course). Obviously we all have different types of holiday, some people like to really glam up in the evenings, and if that’s the case, by all means, go a bit more overboard, but personally, I think the minimal the better. As it’s a beach holiday in Portugal I’m really just going to concentrate on lips and eyes.
While it’s easy to get caught up planning your perfect holiday beauty edit, don’t forget the essentials: toothbrush, toothpaste, a hairband or two, cotton wool and buds, tweezers, deodorant etc, etc.
BASE: For a little bit of coverage (if I want it) I’ll be opting for the Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser in the colour nude. I have chosen this because it’s so natural and light on the skin - perfect for holiday. I will also be taking my Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser to make my pores appear smaller and to leave my skin feeling fresh all day.
CHEEKS: Adding a little bit of colour to my cheeks, I will be adding the Sleek’s blush in Rose Gold (I love the name). This is a pinky shade so it’s perfect to add a pop of colour to my cheeks. For highlighter, I will be taking my trusty The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. If you haven’t already, check out my post here but this is my favourite highlighter ever! It gives such a champagne colour glow. For contouring, I am taking my Clinique Chubby Stick Contour which is super quick to apply and blend. You can see my full review of that here.
EYES: Unfortunately, I haven’t got any eye primer (I really need to get some). I am taking my W7 In The Buff palette which has all of the colours I could possibly want and are perfect for my summer holiday. For eyebrows, I will be taking my Topshop Eyebrow Pencil which is amazing and pairing that with Loreal’s Brow Artist Plumper. For mascara, I am taking Benefit’s Rollerlash which is incredible.
LIPS: Lip products are my favourite to pack but the hardest. If I could, I’d take all of my lipsticks just in case I need them! For sure I’ll be taking my Rosy Lips Vaseline to put on when I go to bed. I will also be taking my Clinique Sweet Pop lipstick, see my review on that here. My MAC Velvet Teddy will also be coming along as it’s the perfect nude and my Rimmel Kate 110 for the brighter lip option.
Holiday Skincare
Being a beauty blogger and a skincare fanatic, it’s always an impossible task to narrow down what I can take as part of my holiday skincare routine. Whilst you’re reading this I’ll be getting ready to jet off to sunny Portugal and I can’t wait!
It was hard to choose just one cleanser so I am picking my favourite, the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is my holy grain cleanser. It is so smooth and gentle, my skin loves it. I am currently on my second tube of it and I am yet to try anything else from Liz Earle.
For a serum, I packed my Antipodes Worship Superfruit Serum which is amazing for giving my skin that extra boost in the mornings. It is a water based serum (which is lovely because I don’t like oil based serums) that I apply before my moisturiser. For the past month, I have been using it every single day and I think my skin has thanked me for it! My favourite ever eye cream was instantly packed and that is the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Eye Serum. This minimises dehydration, is incredibly cooling and really firms the areas around the eyes. It’s also a natural product as is Antipodes.
For moisturiser, I am simply taking my Antipodes Light Facial Cream. I always use foundation with SPF in so I wasn’t too fussed about having a moisturiser that contained it. I hate the feeling of wearing a heavy moisturiser but this is so light and blends in nicely. I have also packed my Sudocrem* which is incredible for sunburn and dryness if I need it.
For a skincare mask, I am taking a much loved Antipodes Honey Aura Mask so I can put this on a few times whilst I’m away. It is described as an “intensely moisturising, cleansing and anti-oxidising treatment” which I think sums it up perfectly. This always makes my skin look clear, hydrated and bright. It is also great for morning or evening!
